They also called me today. I kept asking who he was, what company he was from, all he told me was he is from a 'telephone company' and 'Optus reseller'.
Told him that he doesn't know what he's talking about, I still have a whole year on my contract. He said thanks and hung up.
Don't give them any info; they ask how much you spend a month, etc.

you could call (02) 9037 0138 to give your views to them directly. (while that no lasts)it appears to be a nuisance call outfit blatantly breaching the telemarketing consumer protection laws. had about 8 calls.they said they were green communications and my contract was to expire.i recently did a new optus contract - somehow got those exact new details from optus which is a concern for optus in terms of consumer privacythe person gave 2 different names in teh call (paul robinson & james thompson despite having a very thick indian accent. all other requests as to who are they are met with evasion.green communictions went into liquidation. it perhaps is related to go talk. when you call their brisbane hq number they refuse to identify their business or offer or that green communications is part of their business despite it saying this on their web site.

They have called me three times today and I have missed all three calls. Same thing happens for me... it returns an engaged signal every time i call it back. I am with Optus, my contract has 4 months to go on it... very unsettling that my info is out there for scam artists to see as apparently they are judging from the above posts. THANKS EVERYONE for putting your experiences up here.. I will NOT be answering their calls should they call again.

Called yet again (I have already commented above). This time I had more luck asking questions. Claimed to be of 'Startle communications' though, I had to get him to repeat that four times, so it could be wrong. Said it was a telephone dealer in sydney. They were trying to tell me my contract was going to expire very soon. He could offer me my same phone number (so charitable of him!) for a good price and wanted to ask how much I'm paying now. I didn't think to ask if he knew my name. Doh!I told him to make sure I wasn't called again - no good. I told him to put me on their Do Not Call list (three times) he claimed not to have one. I asked to speak to his supervisor.... end of call.A**holes.

had a call today from a guy with Indian accent, and told me that I have been a good customer and I pay my bills on time! And that I'll be rewarded for that in my new contract! What a load of bull, anyways the easiest way to get rid of them is tell them that they have called before and you are not interested...

same deal as all the others, telling me my contract is expiring...somehow knew my first name though, which is concerning..as soon as i said that i was on a business plan, they hung up...
