Called this number back, got MAGNUM PI music!!! Plays to the end then hangs up on you....quite amusing. Strange how I had just changed my home phone number the day before?

Yeah, these people are part of the same group that uses (02) 9675 7742, which also has the same comments about attempted scams.

On my end, they're all pretending to be Telstra reps. They threaten to disconnect my internet connection, as I have a "virus that is threatening Telstra's infrastructure" or some such nonsense. The only way to fix it, of course, is to download a special antivirus program that only they provide, ie a neat little backdoor into my computer.

Call frequency is twice a day, from this number and the one I listed above.

Woman claimed she was my internet provider and tried to tell me someone has been accessing my internet for the past 14 days, complete scam,didn't even say what company she alleged she was from -just do what I did and hang up.

Had a call at 10pm saying they were from Telstra Technical. Second call today saying same thing.

Just had two calls from this number I think they have rung last month also trying to say they were from Microsoft and we had computer issues they needed to fix

this call went to answering machine, checked reverse aust, have blocked this no now, this number has been used a lot it seems over quite a long time for all sorts of scams

this number has tried to ring me every day over the past week. wish i could block this number from ringing my landline

Had a call from this number said from Telstra technical , when I said I was on do not call register , he said sorry. And hung up

Just had the funniest call in my life. I just had a call from a person with a non-Australian accent call me, claiming to be from the Australian Taxation Office. He was in the process of telling me about a large debt that I had 7 days to pay....then when I informed him that I am a Registered Tax agent....he hastily terminated the call.

I was also rung by this number "(07) 3018 7514" telling me I have an arrest warrant for Tax Evasion or something similar to that, and telling me I need to ring this number "(02) 6140 3438" and that it was urgent. Too bad I was too late to pick up the phone. I really wanted to mess with this fool.

Had a call from this number this morning. They asked if we had Macs because they were responding to a support call for Telstra and that someone at our place had made a complaint to Telstra. Neither of us had any complaint so knew it must be a scam. Did not answer their question about the computer. Man had an Asian accent, background not particularly noisy, mumbled a name and company. You just have to be so careful and aware of these criminals and their lies.

Just had the same phone call, claimed we had a tax evasion suit filed against us, and also claiming local police from our territory (very strange because Victoria is a state) would come with a warrant for our arrest! Same Indian accent claiming to be Jason O'Connor rang from (07) 3018 7514 but told us to ring back on (02) 6064 2010.

I let my daughter answer but when she started giggling the Indian male hung up. Got another call 30 mins later but didn't answer it that time. When I rang the number back there was Magnum PI music

Phoned today stating they were from the technical department of Telstra, calling about my internet security and somebody being able to access my information. Lots of noise in background, annoying woman, wanted information on how many people using the internet at my house. Called her out as a scam and hung up.

Lady with accent phoned mid Saturday morning re Telstra broadband. I requested she take our number from the call list. Same lady contacted again at 6.30pm that night! When she asked me 'how are you, ma'am', I replied 'I'm fine, but you rang me earlier today and I asked you to take my number off your call list', to which she replied 'oh, ok'. Don't hold much hope.

Answered no one spoke but thanks to the other comments I will now block. Be aware they are on the rampage again.
