My brother got a call from this number today and realised it was a scam by noticing they were trying to enable remote access on his computer. Got a call from "Alina" (Indian accent) and asked to speak to the supervisor. Spoke to "Peter", who couldn't tell me my first name, but could tell me my client ID number. Also couldn't tell me any of my mobile numbers (I have five on the same Telstra account). I then noted that I was quite tech savvy and asked specifically what "files were being transferred to your computer through the internet," went through my Task Manager asking which programs were malicious so that I could terminate them there. When he noted that they were being run on "outside websites not on your computer" I asked him what would change if I turned off my networking, at which point the call was terminated from their end. Kinda jealous I didn't get the "f*ckING BUY A COMPUTER" reaction, almost feel ripped off ironically!

Got a call from these guys a couple of weeks ago saying that I had a problem with my internet- I knew it was a scam so kept them on the phone for as long as I could; asking questions saying aha and really?? It got to the point where I said I thought this might be a scam and didn't he feel bad about lying to me. He denied it several times until he got really frustrated and yelled "go f@#k yourself" really loud and hung up. I

Had this person call today telling me that they were going to cut off my Internet in 1/2hr because hakers had got in, I was like ok why are you telling me this and he said because they could help me get the hackers off my computer! Once he said that I knew it was a scam and said but no one in this house has a computer and he replied "WELL BUY ONE!" and hung up! I got a good laugh out of it!

John Indian voice...says hes from Telstra about my internet connection. Its a scam. Asked for his number but it was displayed on screen. Reported to Scamwatch.

This number is now being used in a telstra scam, heads up everyone.

just had this number ring me I did not answer it as did not know number let it ring out

It isn't it amazing that the same number is for 'Windows', the 'ATO', an "Insurance Company' and our telecommunication company can do nothing about these scammers. The have the allocate the phone numbers, they know where (which a physical building address) the number is, and the do absolutely bugger all.

Had a call from a lady telling me they are from Telstra and due to unusual activity on my internet they are going to disconnect me in 10 minutes. I asked her why? She said for me to go in front of my computer and she will show me. I told her that she wasn't going to be disconnecting my internet and that she was a hoax so she hung up.

I'm thinking that the Do Not Call Register doesn't work at all and it doesn't protect at all from this crap. Useless

Keep getting these people telling me they are from Telstra and due to unusual activity on my internet they are going to disconnect me. I told him he should be ashamed of himself and go and get a real job - he hung up.

(07) 3018 7514 ... today a missed call. Last time I think it was "Jason O'Connor" of Indian descent. These scam artists are liars, cheats and thieves. They catch the unwary and cause stress to the innocent.

Received a call from a heavily accented Asian lady, who said she was calling from Telstra, and wanting to sell internet accesss. Told her I was not interested, and hung up.

I had a call from this number today from a female who could hardly speak english and claiming to be from Telstra. I hung up on her.

This number called twice on my mobile, saying it was 'top internet' or something like that... the guy was trying to convince me I needed an app created for my business, wouldn't take no for an answer and got nasty, telling me I should even shut down my business to do a favor for everyone. Would not answer question about the nature of their business or transfer to manager...

This number called our work phones so I thought I would go with the flow and see what happens he wanted to know about my car accident a while back and how I was hurt in it and I have gone to the DR regarding my injuries I was then transfer to the supervisor Brendan he asked the same question but when I told him I was not hurt he did not like it he wanted to know how many passangers I had and then hung up on me called the number back but all you get is Magnum P.I

this no has rung me 6 times in 2 days ,I have caller id and if I don't recognize the no I just let it ring , if they really want me they will leave a message . I have do not call as well but doesn't seem to be helping .

Just told him to bugger off. He's got a really annoying voice.
