Yep! ATO Scam!! Call from this number calling himself Jason O'Connor (Asian accent, male) claiming to be from ATO. Had similar call 4 months ago, but didn't get the number he was calling from that time. Last time the message was telling me to call the ATO regarding a debt in my name......blah blah blah. This time he told me a local policeman will approach me with a warrant for my arrest!
This is a well-known scam, so I'm not worried about anything just letting others know! :)

This number has called twice so far in one day. I rang it back it rang once then disconnected.

I had a call off this number (07) 3018 7514 and he asked if myself or anyone in my house had been in a car accident. Said he was from a claims department.
When I tried to call but it rang once and disconnected.

Had a call from this phone number claiming she was from the technical centre at windows, calling to tell me there was something wrong with my computer. Told her I didn't have a computer and she hung up. The call was very noisy in the back ground.

ATO debt scam call from an indian call centre, you can hear all the noise in the background. Says there is a serious criminal case lodged with the courts in my jurisdiction and I should call (02) 6152 8654 to clear the debt and prevent legal action.

Missed a call from this number and when I tried calling back it rang twice and then went on to some automated music. Tried this twice before reading comments here!

Had a Call from someone called John ( Indian) Asked Me if I Had Recently been in an Accident ! Told Him to Try scamming Someone else. He Hung Up !!

Had a bit of a laugh with these idiots this afternoon. Saw the number and knew who it was so spoke Afrikaans and asked him why he was speaking English. Bloke got most upset and told me to "**** Off"

call from this number (07) 3018 7514 claiming to be from Telstra and that my internet was going to be disconnected, told him to buzz off and he hung up. Call came at 5.30pm West Australian time, plus I don't have internet with Telstra.
From comments on this site looks like they try anything ie ATO, Windows Tech Support. Called the number back it rang then music came on - I hung up

Got a call from this number claiming to be from Telstra Discount department but was unable to look up how much I paid last month and called me by my surname. Scam.

Probably Telco staff getting bored.They ring from O/S and make their No's look like Oz ones.

Customer of mine in NEW ZEALAND has just been contacted. Person claimed he was from IBM.

Unfortunately, this website is a trojan horse as a great source for retarded scammers who have absolutely nothing else better to do than to look and review the comments made on this site as well as countless others just to ensure that their strategies and bull***t they try to scam us to their heart's content.

I don't exactly know whether this number is the right one or perhaps there are countless others. The point being that in the last 48 to 96 hours, my father was scammed by a retard claiming to be from Telstra.

The irony of the phone number in which this retard called, use to be owned by another person before my father despite putting a silent number and immediate ban on any publication of the details where I have spent almost half a day conversing with Telstra directly.

Yet, according to Telstra, the information is widely publicised on the Internet so that any retard with an intention to commit fraud (scam); can do so with ease. And furthermore, Telstra do not have the power to remove them from the Internet which is rather annoying.

In any case, the circumstances relating to my father who got scammed by these retards, claiming that the Internet was slow or having connection problems; and it required a computer to test the connection. The long story short, he lost his user credentials to his personal system. Therefore, what's the catch phrase? "Ransomware".

The end result, despite calling my father a moron; yes it's insincere, but again, it can happen to any one and especially those without a technical understanding of computers. I for one gave him some instructions and he managed to regain control of his system. It costed him time and having to worry about other security issues.

The matter has been forwarded to Telstra for further investigation. But I don't think they'll come up with any positive outcome.

To the stupid retards that scam relentlessly, I wish you nothing but a quick and unpublicised death!
