Just offering some information here. Everyone needs to understand it's not the person on the other end manually dialling your number repetitively - it's an automatic dialling system which sorts the data. The callers will status the call correctly and the dialler manages the follow up. Realistically callers respect the people being contacted, there's no need to spread unnecessary hate here, it's the dialler that will try again at a later time. If your donation data or history fits within more than one campaign type your details will be included on that call list. If the charity is running more than one campaign type at a time (which often occurs) then you may receive calls for different reasons. Charities are also exempt from the do not call list.
Just remember the people on the other end are just working towards a good cause and are simply people too. Just kindly advise the person to be removed and they will oblige and status your call accordingly for that campaign (softphone systems do not have infinite status options). If calls continue it is likely a different campaign, alternatively it could simply be a thank you call with updates of how your support made a great impact.

THIS IS A COMPANY CALLED PARETO PHONE.
I used to work for them, here in Brisbane. They are a *for-profit* marketing agency that represent the telemarketing efforts of not-for-profits/charities (NFPs).
They are a horrible company. The reason why they keep hanging up when you answer is because they use an automatic dialing system that calls multiple people at once, and the worker will be connected with the first person who answers. All other calls get abandoned.
When you do connect with them, don't take your frustrations out on the person on the other end of the phone. Believe me, they hate it even more than you do. The employees trained to use aggressive sales techniques with objection handling and playing on people's guilt, and get threatened with the sack if they don't comply. The employees are micro-managed and observed like 1984.
To stop the calls, either block the number on your phone or when the call connects just politely but firmly request to be removed from the calling list.

I worked for the company that uses this number, Pareto Phone. They're absolute call centre cowboys and don't care at all about the charities they represent or the donors they call. They are reckless and eventually destroy the data and donor relationships their clients trust them with just to make as much money as they can for themselves. With so many better options out there, it's a wonder any charity stays with them...

Have put a blocker on my mobile and one on my wife's mobile, my phone is also set to divert to hers when I'm out of range, so these clowns are paying for 2 calls as well as the diversion each time they ring, more fool them.

it is a call centre that calls for charities. The reason that sometimes they dont answer when you say hello is because it is an automatic dialling machine that calls the number and then the "consultant" comes on the line but sometime there is a pause as the machine dials faster than when the consultant has finished the previous call. It means that the charity has your number - it is normally sold or passed on from other organisations where once you may have given a donation or something You can ask to have your number removed from the list.

Caller: Voice message saying that it's from Pareto Phone They called me twice via 0491 692 489 for two days in a row but I never picked up. When I tried calling back, it redirects me to a automated voice message with a female voice stating that it is from Pareto Phone (they are currently under IVE group) and to email them. I feel like they will persistently call you if you don't pick up their call but I'm not sure what happens when you do. Easiest way - just block them!

They are a for profit company that charities think do a great job at getting your money. I worked in the industry. Charities are just as bad as these guys. The donations just keep them in employment. Bugger all goes to the cause. They will tell you otherwise. But it’s only by shifting costs that they make it look like your donation does nothing. The whole charity industry and it is an industry, has just become a giant con and job creation scheme.

apparently this is from Canteen. i gave donations for 12 months but cancelled due to inability to my work as i have a serious health condition. The charity is worthwile but harassing sick, struggling single mothers is low.

I get multiple calls per day, that hangup as I answer. I have rung and asked them to remove my number from their database. Let's see if it happens. I had then had a little fun, calling their Head Office six times in a row and hanging up when they answered - just to get my own back. ;-)

The first complainer is correct. It's sociopathic behaviour - causes cancer and diabetes. And all other callers are correct, the hired organisation collecting money don't care. Explainer, resonding to first caller all of a sudden wants to change the 'life goes on' technicality' that we've all had to live with to prevent the truth of this systematic abuse to advocate for a frontline worker. Compliance is protecting Maggie - not happy Jan.
