Some recorded nonsense about a $900 charge to my Visa account for purchase of bitcoin. Because I hadn't purchased this before, they were waiting on me to confirm legitimacy of the charge, press button 1 or 2. Hung up on them, immediately recognising it as a scam.

They claimed to be from Visa Mastercard and that someone from New Zealand was attempting to charge $1600 to my account. She kept asking if anyone else had access to or could use my card. I kept saying no. Then she hung up on me. I believe she wanted me to say "yes". My partner never uses my card under any circumstance. We both have backup emergency cards as alternatives so I knew this charge wasn't legit. When she kept repeatedly asking, unhappy with my responses of no, it felt extra, extra, extra fishy. I only answered the call as I was expecting a QLD work call today.
