I picked up this call because I was expecting a call from a work contact. The woman on the other end said she was from Telstra and wanted to talk about my internet (coincidentally, I am with Telstra for NBN, and have been experiencing problems). However, I was in transit in an airport when I took the call, and told her it was an inconvenient time. She then just abruptly hung up without another word, which struck me as unlikely for a genuine Telstra call. I suspect a Phishing scam. I received another call a couple of hours later from a number only three digits different 0488 878 957) later in the day, which I ignored.

Scam - Indian English Accent. Claimed to be from Microsoft Technical Department.

Automated voice calling "This is a warning from Immigration". I immediately dropped the call, a scam obviously.

When I got this call, some robot voice with woman keep telling that I have warning things with my immigration visa. Even if I got only workinghoilday visa 😁😂. Hung up. This is scam

Voicemail left with fake prompt to select language. Offer is in ‘Chinese’ even though, there is no such spoken language. There are many dialects in China, the main two being Mandarin and Cantonese.

I think we should go on holiday to India and speak Indian, haha.

Had a missed call from this number. Rang the number back and went to voicemail which was full. Female sounded chinese. Probably scammer robot.

They said they were going to cancel my phone number, but they didn't start with what service provider they were, so clearly a scam

Agree...SCAM CALLER...this time pretending to be Telstra Mobile service that would "shutdown my service immediately" because of unnatural activity..!
Hilarious because...I wonder how my service could be "shutdown while still connected to my mobile"...an OxyMORON..!

Didn't answer the call and they left a message. It was in Chinese. I have blocked this contact.

This number just called me. It didn't ring or have any tone on their end and their was no voice. Weird. Definitely a prank/scam caller. The other day the number 0488 878 951 called me. Same thing.

Recorded female voice from Telstra telling me my account is being shut down, and to press 9 to speak to an employee to sort out.
Absolute oxygen thieves are what I describe these people as. The ‘Do Not Call” register doesn’t mean anything to me, as I receive multiple calls from different companies trying to scam me. I know the government and telcos are trying to stop this rubbish, but it will never end!
