I answered this, "yep", then I received a recorded message, "English calls press 1, Chinese calls press 2" I then hung up. Two points they didn't get my name and it went straight to a recorded message. Clearly a phishing scam.

Caller: Sounded Indian or Pakistani I received a call claiming to be from Telstra saying my internet browser wasn’t working to its full capacity. Im not even with a Telstra internet plan! Very persistent in telling me to do test to see how my internet speed is and saying it’s not the correct speed tried transferring me to “said manager” I said I wasn’t interested and hung up. Definitely a scam!

Just called me saying that they were from the fraud department for Mastercard and Visa cards to say my card had been compromised and for me to prove who I am and have them cancel some strange transactions that have just occurred. I didn’t confirm anything but I’m worried that I may have been scammed because I was on the phone for about 15 minutes with them. They ended up hanging up on me. I’m really worried now
