They called me just after I had completed a survey on compare health insurances, but I didn't answer. Yet another number commencing with 04888...

Caller: Life insurance

These guys are a scam. They have called me twice. They give a name and say they are from the "Australian Call Centre". I asked "Australian Call Centre for What" and they both ignored me and went straight into their spiel.

Hang up and block

I keep getting calls from this number but no one talks when I answer.

Like one of the comments, I received the call right after filling out health insurance comparison form.

Didn't leave a message, so it can't be important, therefore I just blocked it.
It's only wasting my time, as well as being very annoying.

When picked up, there was no sound and then hang up. Could be scam

When answering the call, it was blank. Then tried calling the number back to be informed that "the number you have dialed is disconnected", then tried calling again & got a message that I had called Ozzy Protect - suspected spam/fraud?

no message - so it is blocked

I answered call from 0499 862 003 just saying hello and they hanged up immediately, same deal with number 0488 862 006, I just answered with Hello and they hanged up.

they hung up after 10 seconds.

I've received a few calls form this number. I don't usually answer calls from unknown numbers. But I finally picked up once without saying hello or who I was. There was no greeting or anything, and they hung up after 10 seconds of silence.
