Keeps ringing but never leaves a message

Said it was "Sam from Energy..(mumble)...." Have a feeling it may be one of those ones where they try to get you to say "YES", because I said initially "it is" then they asked question a different way and I said "YES" ... that's when the line went silent. So I'll be keeping an eye on bills, bank accounts etc etc just in case

Could this be a scam

After I said "hello", no one was there. I will NOT be returning the call.

Calls my landline (which is private) a few times a day but never leaves a message. I'm going to block this number as it's really annoying.

They called a few times over the last few weeks. Showed up as suspected spam on my phone so haven't answered yet. Rang the number back a few hours later. It is nor connected. Have blocked it now.
