Lol it’s actually legit. Got an sms saying exactly who there are and why they are calling. It’s a survey about crime. I was out and didn’t feel my phone vibrate so I missed it.

The only reason why people are saying scam is because they don’t pay attention at all lol

You must have done something illegal and that why you are scared of police lol

As said by others some statistics gathering company on behalf of police doing a survey on crime. That’s fine. Thing that sh*ts me is the way they’ve gone about it. I have to “opt out” if I don’t want to participate in something I never agreed to do in the first place. Fkn time wasters.

This may be legit but a nuisance call nonetheless. A lady who claimed to be from the Social Research Centre left a voicemail. She said they are looking for participants for a survey of satisfaction with local policing safety and crime. She left details of their webpage which checks out and said she would call again in a few days.

Pretending to be from local police. I asked which policing agency they couldn’t even get that right.

Repeated nuisance calls from this number alleging to be a survey company acting on behalf of the Qld police. Earlier SMS message advising that an official call in this regard was imminent.
