This number has called me many times, each time without leaving a message. I don't trust people who don't "dare" leave messages! Even blocking the number does not seem to work, they always find a way of calling back, absolutely furious!

reference an address I lived at 8 years ago and purported himself to be a broker of some kind who wanted to engage me in related to that property and wanted to know if I consent to being called. Upon hearing I didn't reside there (the only information I gave up), he thanked me for answering and ended the phone call amicably. Definintely had that 'overseas call centre' background sound when introducing himself, and if he was a Timothy it wasn't his name at birth.

Persisted in asking reasons why I was not interested.

Just your normal script driven telemarketing service. Reapers. Any information you do give will be stored in their database for an unplanned call in a few months time where they will address you by name, occupation and living status. (To get you thinking that you know who they are).
Very cheeky (according to ABN lookup they trade as “in formation Australia”.
Poor telemarketers trying to meet targets for scam companies.

She was an Australian, who introduced herself as Olivia, then hung up on me.

Caller: No clue

Answered the call with hello? No reply just dead silence then just hung up.

Safe to say spam call.

Missed call, did not leave a message. Called the number back, they stated that they were Information Australia and wanted to see if I qualified for a tax rebate by "verifying my personal details." Hung up, reported them to the DO NOT CALL register.

Call from Carole, a well spoken female from INFORMATION AUSTRALIA (a quick internet search does not locate this as a legitimate company)

Says I may be eligible for a rebate... after asking my name and occupation, she asked what my salary is and home is worth to confirm if the rebate would be applicable...

I said in no way would I divulge those numbers and I hung up immediately. I didn't trust them at all.

I called back this number as I'd had about 15 missed calls from it. Some young-sounding woman answered when I called back. She seemed a little confused that I'd called. When I asked her where she was calling from she said, "Information Australia."

My reply to her was, "No such place. It doesn't exist." That's when I got the attitude from her, "Uhhh, yes it does, because I work for them."

She said that they weren't government. They aren't anything. Really.

It's a social grooming/phishing scam.
