Caller: Government survey

My son got this call on his mobile first and it was a government survey so he hung up immediately. Seconds later and my mobile rang. Same number 0488 822 702. Went to block the number to only find it was already blocked. How can calls like this get thru after the number has been blocked? Any idea? So I unblocked it then blocked it again. Let’s hope I never hear from that number again.

I've unplugged home phone but get notifications of messages on my mobile, that way I can screen calls

Caller: Robo call - survey

This number called about 5.30pm on a Thursday night on our landline.It was a robo call with the voice of an Aussie male.As soon as they said this call was about a survey I hung up.It appears from other people's post that the last time this number was used for a survey was in March 2019 prior to the last Federal election.

Great to read your response to the 'tosses' you mention. Cheered me up considerably on such a rainy day.

This site is really helpful.
Usually, I check a number on google.
If it's on the nose, I save it a scam or cold call & when the call again I know not to answer.

did not answer it just let it ring out another nusance caller who will not observe the do not call registrar

Just had a call from this number claiming it was an automated government call doing a survey for the health and well-being of Australian residents....beware!!!

This problem can be solved by your buying a Telstra "Call Guardian" telephone. Before buying one, I was getting about 20 vermin calls, every day. Since installing one, three years ago, I have received zero vermin calls. They cost $48.

Caller: Survey Robot

Called at 6:30PM, automated survey for Tasmanian’s by a Tas retail association (?), first question: press star to opt out of this survey, right now. I pressed it - no response! Straight into second Q. I hung up, now blocked.

Just received a call from this number. I didn’t answer and they did not leave a message. Waiting for the next call tomorrow!

Political survey , number blocked and they've been calling weekly for 2 months. Leaving voicemails as well.

Multiple calls from "Private" and this number, all hang ups. Before this there were multiple 'We're from Telstra scam" calls.
