I called & they politely asked me if I'd like to increase my credit card limit, open another account with them, or if they could help me in any way.

It is legitimate but with a particular code it is just that someone has accidentally used your phone number as theres and when they fix it, it then notifies the owner of that number

went to call back no answer. asked for my bank details via text and asked to call back and enter bank details

It is? Strange, as I don't have an account with the Commonwealth Bank. Definitely a hoax.
