Levitate scam

Annoying scammer. Do not answer. Do not trust. Block. They call from 3 numbers, 0485 902 663, 0488 842 546 and 0485 833 650. Block all 3. They leave a dumb message saying hi or some stuff.

Hang up when answered

Sniffer, don't pick up. They mass dial to check if anybody picks up or goes to an active voicemail, then they'll start the real scam calls to active numbers.

I told them to take me off their list and have blocked their number.

So painful that every second call you get on your phone is someone trying to scam you...

Rings only for a short time mirroring other experiences here, so probable scam expecting a call back.

I asked politely for her (pommy accent) to take me off their call list as I'm getting calls every day but she just argued back. I said my phone is on the Aus government do not call list and she said that's not her problem it's my problem!! That's a great way to get me to listen to them - NOT!

Same number , my phone picked the call up as potential spam so it went straight to message, of course they didn't leave one. I blocked that number

Numbers starting 0485 8xx xxx seem to be mostly scams.
My rule of thumb is if you don’t recognise the number, don’t answer. It’s your phone and your choice to answer or not. Genuine callers will leave a message which you can then deal with as you wish, scammers generally don’t. Just check the Scamwatch website if you are tempted to return a call or message from an unknown number. Their advice may save you $$$ and your sanity.
