Yepppp replied to a gumtree ad n said the exact bullsh*t thats above about retirement home etc n yep had a single owner operator driver mate for transport n tried to get deposit....

Wouldnt answer phone when called but "peter" text saying he has no service due to recent floods blar blar...

Anyway lucky we suspect everyone to start with and we where already onto it n found the above posts confirming a scammer. So the hubby kept himself amused for a bit n played his game n b4 he gave his bank details for deposit hubby asked him if he wanted the funds deposited into the Tahlia or Peter bank account with lots of other words that i cant repeat on here....

Same thing, I had a wanted add on gumtree he replied quickly giving me a sob story about having cancer and his father just died, was shifting in with his mother. He had a trick coming my way from Yagoona NSW to Tasmania 😂😂, sent me the exact same picture of what another scammer sent me the night before. These pricks need stringing up by the balls

Much like the others, I placed and ad on gumtree and 54 year old 'Peter' was going into a home but had the engine I need. Also gave me an address "4 crane street, ballina"
and said he could freight, had a photo of the engine that I haven't found elsewhere, gave me 'Cody Beeston' his stepsons pay ID linked to 0405 205 254. I sent 500 deposit, didn't realise until he tried to pressure me into the rest and said the truck was delayed that it was a scam. I asked for a phone call and he made excuses about signal being bad due to the floods. Too bloody trusting. Have reported to the police and NAB fraud.

Received a text message from this bloke via gumtree saying he had his deceased sons car for sale and wants a deposit and have a freight truck to send it down. I stated that it would need to be viewed by myself and I am more then capable of transporting the car myself. He all of a sudden turned mental and started threatening myself saying he's been to jail for murder blah blah blah then thought it would be a great idea to threaten us with rape. All text messages have been taken to police.

My 17 yr old son Was scammed by this person last night his first pay check from his new job and he gets ripped not happy at all

The same 0481 710 143 number is now advertising on a free escort site at www.escortsau.com.au as Candy Schumann, probably wants payment up front.

This guy has set up a fake Holden Commodore Wrecker business on Facebook Marketplace. Cash only, located in the the middle of nowhere (Warialda), so have to ship. Asked $300 for a door trim. When I said no, he immediately dropped to $100! New Facebook account with no info, and no feedback. Claiming to be wrecking about 20 x V8 Holdens, but no trace of him on the internet. He sent a copy of a Licence, which is no doubt fake. He's about as genuine as a Balinese Rolex!
