Caller: Graysn Online Received an automated cal asking for my Grays Online invoice number. As I did not have an invoice number the message repeated numerous times until I hung up. I check the number 0480 046 171 and realised that this was not Grays Online. I contacted Grays Online customer service to inform them of the call and was told that this was a scam. I wanted to know how did they managed to get my information as I had an unregistered phone number and customer details. Grays customer service had no idea and were investigating.

Had a sms message saying "reminder that payment for my recent purchase from Grays has not been received - $40.26 " and invoice no listed correctly. I went into the link https://sms.grays.com/tAFX and filled in my payment details, entering into fields had a sub-standard response, and finiky. it went to process the payment and bounced back saying we only accept VISA and ACCESS payments, mine was that, and all bank systems recognise the numbers.. But Grays system didn't .. twice. Following morning Grays autocalled me from above number 0480 046 171, getting through to a call centre, where they asked for my payment again. ( Two contacts I had there were all Philipino accents, sounds was digitised, ( on purpose or low quality VOIP system with low bandwidth). I supplied the payment details, they said it was declined again.. Makes no sense . I use that card with everyone. Normally Grays take the payment on their system internally .. and you just get the paid invoice. I contacted Grays Office in Sydney 02 number got through, then accounts, then another Phillipino, voice over internet transferred call on a not perfect line. They tried to process the payment, said it was declined. I checked my bank , no messages ,, very bizzare. TWO THINGS: i explained the invoice they just created has my old phone number, which was removed over 1 year ago. I went into Grays account my details, and no Database field in there had that number.. so i asked them , how was that number on the invoice? If anyone called that number I would not be able to answer? Grays said. " that number was saved under a land line number" I said im in the system now, and there is no where that i have access to that database field to change it; so you must have 2 systems? ( Alternative option i wanted to verify .. because indicated that all Grays personal client information had been stolen one year ago or more, by scammers, as that number was old.. ) and invoice wasn't created off current data in the system. 2) Grays said the only contact for grays is 1300 362 536 .. however the sms i received with the below standard payment app , says "or call 1300 203 456 Grays Collections" .. So this is creating a real concern for me now... I ask if the App and the contact with correct invoice owing was a scam, or legitmate Grays online? The reply was not a yes or no anwser. which i found extremely exasperating... I asked again, reply was .. if there are any problems or concerns about privacy on your account i can contact them and they will let me know... I said , yes thats what im asking about right now! I need to know if the details about this number and grays auto script it runs is a scam? To know if i need to contact my bank now and change my debit card and inform them?? They were useless in their response, didn't comment one way or other, said they would call me if they have concerns and ended the call. Its like talking with 10 year old robots, who dont understand the question

I had just completed.a legitimate order with Grays Online and within minutes, I received an SMS from 0480 046 171 telling me.id missed a call. Message bank unintelligible but mentioned credit card and to press #1. I did not call back and deleted cal as a suspected scam. Google search has many reports of this number as suspicious and suspected scam.

Caller: 0480 046 171 Received 7 missed calls from 0480 046 171 and apparently it's the company Grays online auctions stating that an item I'd tried paying for was not successful and to proceed to pay the amounts outstanding.. SCAM SCAM SCAM

Caller: claimed to be from Grays Online Claimed to be Grays Online. Left an automated message to call back and pay my invoice however I had paid it, the money had left my account earlier in the day. When I called the number back and went through to their "call centre" and talked to the guy, he said that the money had bounced and was returned to account, he can definitely see it's been returned so the invoice is unpaid. I felt something wasn't right so I called the depot i'm picking my car up from and they said they were having issues with their system but to send an e-mail with proof of payment through to their accounts receivable. which I did an hour or two later I got an e-mail confirming receipt of payment.
To me it smacks of scam caller. Even if you feel it could be legitimate, make your own direct contact with the company not just by return call.
