Indian Call centre scammer after gift cards

Supposedly calling about a government rebate on aircon units. Blocked.

you say "hello" and instantly you hear that noise from a call centre. Instantly hung up

They called and left no message so obviously not important/valid......suspect a scam or nuisance sales call. The Govt and Telco's need to sort this sh!t out.

They just called me they said nothing and then hang up is it legit or not
