Caller: Customer info line I didn’t realise they’d called earlier and not left a message or they’d have been blocked before they could call again. I asked customer info line for whom and they said for a number of Australian companies then started talking about superannuation and asked if I had a financial planner, asked four questions about my employment status then told me I qualified for a free assessment and asked my name. I said I’m happy with my super and my boss is a financial planner (half true, he used to be) and I was t interested. Blocked the number. I’d like to know who gave them my number as I’m on the Do Not Call Register but I’d it’s a company you have dealings with they can call. Since they didn’t identify themselves as aligned with any company I know I will be reporting them.

It was a hang up call. A few minutes prior I had an unknown number call ask me my name and then hang up. I don’t think the next call was a coincidence.

Constant calls for days on end, never leaves a message, so I haven’t bothered calling it back, only rings a few times before they hang up.

Don’t block these numbers make new contact in your phone called bogus number than you can hang up on them in the future - blocking them means they just change to another number

Next time I hope I manage to answer it and I'll be able to waste their time too.

I never answer numbers I dont know. I let it ring then put my number on private and call the number back and 100% of the time its a nuisance call so then I block them this way they dont have my number and dont bother me again.

Caller: Some Wanker Thanks Stephan, That all makes sense what you’re saying, as most of these are a computer program trawling the phone (number) banks, to do exactly what you said.
Some useless stats, if anyone thought they must runout of numbers. Back of an envelope math coming up.
What’s the total number of 10 digit (0000,000,000) total (n) combinations, eg; 10^10=10Billion.
If we use area codes, up to 14 digits, (+00,00,000,000,000) we get over 87Billion different permutations, however, it’s unlikely because mobiles and area codes are use more than once, so we could just estimate, but say, eg; really big number, (scientific terminology).
Thought I would lighten someone’s day with this useless info, also to remember to Block this spammers
Many thanks, Robert

Caller: Insurance comparisons Have blocked this number a few times but they still call even after I said I had only recently changed Health insurance through iselect. She still wanted to do a comparison because apparently they use different Health insurers. When I declined again this Lady was rude and curt and pushed again to try and find out who my insurer was. I Just said “not interested, I’m hanging up now”! But She beat me to it! Just more pests!!!
