Dunn and Bradstreet debt collectors. They use heaps of different variations of numbers too!, ex- 08597-/// and mobiles. This mobile in particular I just called back and it was Dunn and Bradstreet ( DnB )

Asked for account details. Ha, we are not even in debt, so this is a total scam. I will be reporting this mob and next time they ring, I will threaten to call the police.

Scam seems to be that they ask for your personal details before they disclose their 'business' with you, then tell you they want someone else. When asked to describe the nature of their company, they tell you they are a 'trans-Tasmin company' and refer you to a website. Report to scam watch.

Been getting NON-STOP calls from this group. Have spoken to multiple people, and asked multiple times for them to stop calling me as I am well aware they're scammers and I know I'm not in debt! This has not stopped them - blocking their numbers doesn't work either as they just call on other ones.. private, mobile numbers, home-phone numbers, etc.. So annoying! Nothing you can do but continue to ignore their calls.

Dun & Bradstreet. If you don't want them calling you anymore, you can write them a letter of demand to stop calling you. They have to comply with that. Also, if you live in Victoria, the debt laws are that if you say your not paying or it's not your debt, they can not contact you AT ALL. Not even letters to your house. Research your rights and what debt collectors can and can't do. Stand up for yourself and stop being pushed around. Don't lie to them as they keep notes and if your stories don't match up, they will keep harassing you.

Get onto the "Do Not Call Register". It does NOT stop charities, political, overseas, and emergency calls.
Many companies or organizations pay for a company to make calls on their behalf. These companies may be doing it for many different users. Often they use a "phone bot" which will keep ringing repeatedly - until one of their staff is free to talk to you.
Phone numbers do get re-issued, so you may receive calls for the person who previously had that number. Consider getting a new number.
Do not answer every call that comes in. Use an answering machine. Only answer when they leave a message and you identify them.
Use "Call Blocking" if your phone has this available.
