Cold calling to sell insurance

Had these guys call me twice today. The first time I missed it so called back, said I wasn't interested, and because I'm under the required age (under 30), they'd take me off the list. Got a call again a couple of hours later, they tried again, once again saying I'd be taken off their list. Now going to block them.

Yes, getting calls from this number and and 07 landline almost daily!!!

Say they are selling insurance but they aren't and don't even give a company name. They are just fishing for personal details to steal your identity. Should be locked up.

I answered one call from them the other day and advised the person to **** off and to remove my number in conjunction with Australian consumer law, the lady could not believe it gasping and asking if I had just swore at her.

Block this number on your mobile and the call will be auto rejected. After blocking, You would not even get a ringing tone on your mobile. These calls are directed at certain Optus mobile numbers only. The other option is to move away from Optus mobile network.

How do you stop them from calling? Is there a system in place that allows you to keep your number private to avoid these cold calling pests?

This number has been calling me for the past couple of weeks. Never leaves a message and I haven't answered. I have previously answered a call from someone trying to sell me life insurance and told them I was not interested. Glad I looked up the number before calling back.

This is so annoying. They ask for name, date of birth. shouldn't be legal.
