Got the same call as the rest i believe from 0466 710 846 - super agressive telling me that i have been chosen for a new phone and what my details were in regarding to my number, lol!!!! I said what he begun, i hung up....

Just received a call from this number. Asking me if I'd like a free LG phone. When I said no he replied with "do you want me", I asked him to repeat what he said and he replied "do you want me to be your boyfriend"...
I seriously wasn't expecting that.. Bit spooked because I don't know what information he already has.
I really wish I could block this number!

I got a call from 0404 230 270 and a couple of missed calls from 0466 710 846 and 0466 710 878. Judging by the call I did answer, it's all the same as what's been mentioned here. Was offered a new mobile phone because I have had this number "for a long time". When I prompted him in relation to what company he was calling from, he gave me an inaudible response both times (or at least something I couldn't recognise).

When I told him I was an Optus customer, he got frustrated and said "I know you are an Optus customer, how much are you currently paying?" to which I said I wasn't interested and hung up.

Ridiculous!

Got one today from this number wanting to offer me a new phone and $500 credit monthly. Asked me my name and address, and wanted my cc number too.

Called...I said Hello. Said her name was Veronica calling about my mobile number I am currently using. I said Hello again, she repeated. I hung up. Simple.

I got a phone call from 0466 711 914. Same deal as before. Strong accent, bad line, dodgy sounding bloke. Wanted my address to send me a phone. Asked me about how much I was spending on a phone.

Told them I was going to take the number to the cops for misuse of telecommunications. Everyone else here should do the same.

Received a call on a very bad connection from this number offering me a new phone because I had held my current number for a long time. I had to ask the caller four times what company he represented. No suitable answer.

Got a call from 0466 710 893 and the guy wanted to give me a new phone for being a long term optus customer which didn't seem too weird at first. The line was really bad which I told him about and he offered to call back which he then did on 0466 710 846. He thought I said my address was Johnson Road when I said Junction Road. Started to get suspicious when asked for my name since he was calling me so asked how he got my number and what company he was from. He said he got my number from ACMA and was with some company I never heard of located in Brisbane. I asked what additional detail he needed and he said full name, DOB and drivers license number. I told him he didn't need my DOB to send me something in the mail and just my first name and address was sufficient. He started to get frustrated and asked why I wouldn't give him my last name. I asked him hypothetically what he would do if someone he didn't know called him asking for the same details he was asking me for. He told me I didn't sound like I deserved such a good deal and he would call someone else to offer it to them instead lol
