Called and I let him do his speil - I was bored and thought it might be fun. I challenged him and immediately another voice took over ...supervisor? I hung up. Called again seconds later and asked why I had hung up. I asked them for their telephone number so I could call them back. (07) 3040 9898 David Thompson. On checking, this number is also a known scammers number. Wasted 5 minutes of my life but best to share this info.

Indian Call Centre Scam. Nothing about Windows, just Systems Department. Sometimes I have a bit of a laugh and say would that be in the kernel, the bios or the assembler code? When you call the number back It says it not connected so they are spoofing the phone number some how. Off to the telecoms ombudsman as if you do not know who the call is from what is the point of Caller Id. Makes it a mockery

My son took this numbers call earlier today. Hi this is someone from windows you have a problem with your computer. My son told him, "But I have a Mac", the guy told him, " well I will get our Mac representative then". My son hung up and walked away at that stage. He is only 13 and even he knows they are swindlers! And why may I ask will they put him onto a Mac rep if they say we have a windows problem?

This caller claimed to be from windows calling about the windows computer in our home, Hung up when I said we didn't have one. Interesting how it resembles a mobile number. Upon redialing the number, I was told it was not connected.

Something about security on my computer from Swinburne. The lady was hesitant, I said hello about 3 times, then hung up on her when she started to tell me the above.
