Caller: Scammers saying they were Telstra ICT hey will come at you stating that your internet has been hacked and they need you to put security in place on your mobile devices an computer. DO NOT BE FOOLED. Telstra will not ring you like this from various mobile numbers. This mob of scammers are better than most going as far allowing you to be 'transferred to their supervisor' (now that was funny), they HANDED the ph to another person. Yes literally handed the ph to someone else. If you ask for their supervisor, same thing. Ask for their supervisor and they start yelling at you that "I am the Boss. There is no supervisor for me. I don't answer to anyone". Believe me, hilarious. Remember, Telstra would not ask you to secure you to login to your Bank/s and access your accounts and statements to secure them because someone has tried to hack your computer. They would not ask you to login and change you password. The scammers are hacking you to run keystroke programme to rip you off. Ignore their threats to disconnect your internet and anything else they attempt to throw at you. Tell them you're busy at the moment as ask for a number to call them back. If they refuse or come up with some BS story that is another sign they are scammers. Just hang up and call your service provider yourself and discuss the issue. They will give you some guidance how to go forward. Other mobile numbers used by this lot are 0455 653 504 & 0455 168 246. they probably have a gazillion other numbers. And Definitely DO NO download any programme they tell you to do - that is their way into your device. So remember, you have worked hard for your money, every ruddy cent so don't make the mistake by letting them get it. Remember, anyone calling about money, our accounts, hacking and they want you to download a programme or give them access to your computer HANG UP. Talk your internet service provided or your Bank direct - yes, YOU instigate the call and ask them whats going on. Too much of this is happening and they are targeting everyone. I plan on telling as many as I can especially our mature citizens who could be potentially swayed not realising how vicious these scammer can be financially. They don't have much to start with and would be too embarrassed to say anything.
