0450 074 129 called me and I ignored it. 3 minutes later 0488 824 439 called me. Thought I'd better answer it but it was something about the Fed Gov't scheme. I hung up.

Called me and when I answered hung up... called back and got my called could not be connected check the number and try again

I never answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. I always google the number first to read the complaints and then I block them

This number rang and I missed the called, when I call it back it says the call couldn't be connected and to check the number and try again. I expect it to be spam if I can't get back to them. I also had a Sydney landline call me an hour or so before with the same issue, I believe they are spammers.

runs with Australian gov support... and says they get our real name and mobile number and all details from Gov Australia.

Caller purported to be calling on behalf of the government about eligibility for a solar rebate. Turns out they are a solar panel selling and installation company with no connection to the government.

Multiple spam calls from an overseas telemarketer. Just block.

rang twice - answered the 2nd time - some idiot in background talking - they hung up.

When you pick up, you get a dialling tone, and when it answers you can hear the telltale sounds of a call centre, so obviously it’s scammers / spammers using a computer to phone random numbers until they reach someone. Solution: when you hear the dialling sound - HANG UP !!!’
