This person is a possible scam artist...I am trying to find out if his identity matches what he has told me about himself

I did more research , he has been scamming since 2009 over in the USA . Says he imports cocoa plants,

Yes I met him on pof, I have emailed them. I live in melbourne and he apparently did as well.

This man says his name is James and a widower and a businessman , he txt me then when I rang it was a weird ring tone then no mess bank to leave a msg. He txt saying he was with a collegue and couldn't answer the phone, but 10 secs before he was at home resting with his sore arm? He got angry by email once for thinking he was a scammer. He chatted to me on a dating site giving me his private email. He doesn't know where I live
