Received this call three times in accompaniment to SMS verification codes that took too long to arrive, causing me to re-request a code.
Indeed, never share your SMS codes, good to see there was no CVC number included in the details.

I have login Westpac with another phone number and put code number to login if not call Westpac number

It is scammers number it not from westpac alert code I rang Westpac they didn’t send any from this number

Not a scam! Got a txt to say Westpac has placed a temporary block on my credit card. Was suspicious at 1st, as it had a link to the 132032 number. I then got a call from the branch to say my card had been handed in. It was true. I had dropped my card at a cafe. Always call 132032 (don't click on the link, just in case)

Scam. 100%. Says it’s Westpac and quotes to call a 1300 number which is Westpac. But I didn’t call it, went to Westpac website and called their 13 number instead.
Had not done any transactions on my app when received this sms. And when called Westpac’, confirmed my account had been locked due to it trying to be accessed with incorrect password.

Definitely a scammer. Left two messages. One said my Westpac loan had been approved. The other one said my Westpac personal loan had been approved. Both wanted me to contact them to accept my contract. As if !

100% SCAM!!! Never been a westpac customer and received this message out of blue..

This is a Westpac-related number i have got SMSs from in the past for legitimate reasons. I am currently out of Australia. Last week I got a number of messages last from this number within a few minutes of each other asking me to enter 3 different code for 3 separate transactions of differing amounts which I am unaware of. I have never attempted any of these transactions. I go another msg with a code to enable me to access my contact details presumably on the online portal and thereafter another to change my SMS code mobile number which I had not attempted to do. I have not been able to log online or use my app to access my account since then. so have to get a local sim card to call Westpac to query.

Per Reefhunter, this is Westpac's fair dinkum SMS Protect number, as you can see on their website. But scammers are likely spoofing it. The problem is when the number gets blocked completely by a telco because of the scammers … and then you can't get Westpac's actual SMS codes.
