Also asking you to call certain 1300 number with unexpected SMS.

Reported to police already.

Received text to mobile asking me to accept a charge of $90 to avoid excess charges from Telstra

Applied for a Bank of Melbourne account and received an account activation text from this number to complete account opening.

'To reset your Online Banking password enter this Westpac Protect SMS code: 364053. We advise you should delete this message once you've entered this SMS code.'

Sure. Right'o. I don't use Westpac and never have. Screenshot and sent it to Westpac though.

Received a text confirming a new protect sms code. I dont have an account with Westpac. Called Westpac and advised - they really couldn't be bothered and said there were alot of tricksters out there? Go figure.

Not spam, westpac automated message with security code for online payments & transfers. If you received and not ment to then your number is on someone else's bank account info...

I got the same as above. To confirm payment of $575.00 to 333617 ref 100105154353 enter SMS Code: 554209. Unexpected SMS? Call 1300 655 505.

Received a missed call from this number. When I phoned back, the number was reported as being disconnected. Go figure?

Keep receiving these messages dont have westpac account.
