Offer of free carpet cleaning. Got to be a catch ?

scam!!!! They come into your house to sell a $5,000 vacuum but before telling you the price they spend hours (4hrs!) In your home & do not leave! Then when you say not interested & dont have that sort of $ they still dont leave & dont take no for an answer!!! Whole experience was disturbing & traumatizing!

I had a guy come to the door even though there was a "no door knockers" sign. He wouldn't take a hint even when the sign was pointed out to him and he said my sign was only related to salesmen. I ended up giving him my mobile number to get rid of him (stupid me i know but i was pre-occupied with the racket my dogs were making) and he said he would chuck it away as i was hesitant and said i didn't want to give otlut my home or mobile number. Since then (yesterday) i have had multiple calls from different mobile numbers (this one being the latest) all calls do not leave voice messages or responds to text when i ask who it is.

Usual harassing scenario on my partner's phone - they've been calling him every few days for 6 weeks since he gave mistakenly gave a young woman with an aggressive sales pitch his phone number after "free" offer of one room's carpet cleaned. I also overheard her asking him "what do you do during the day?" & "what's your partner's name ?" Red Flags. Partner has learning disabilities. I think these evil scam artists are a serious financial health risk to people with disabilities like these. According to numerous other reports, they then offer the vacuum cleaner for sale at $4,500 - $5,000 (!!!). Then slowly over hours drop the price

This number keeps calling me and no one is there... I endlessly call to try and see who is calling but get a answering machine, saying leave your details and we will get back to you ... have also texted but nothing ... def scam .. will block the caller from now 🙃

Total scam artists! Tried to offer me free cleaning service but also wanted my partner’s name & then asked if I was an owner or renter. But wait, it gets better, then they wanted to know if I owned my house outright or if I had a mortgage! I asked them what that had to do with cleaning! Extraordinary! Beware!!!

Received a random call saying someone I know had received a carpet clean and because they were so impressed referred me to get a free room cleaned or a couch cleaned for free. And then I’d also go into a draw to win $1000 off my rent or mortgage.

spent 2.5hrs in my friends home, cleaned mattress, aggressively pushing $4,500 kirby vaccum cleaner. friends said they wouldn't take no for an answer. they loved the cleaner but couldn't justify the price. they struggled to get the salesman out of their house politely.

Tried offering me carpet cleaning - I told them I was busy . Sounds like a catch considering they trying to offer carpet cleaning for free.

I had a call saying a friend had given them my number to receive a freecarper orcouch cleaning. Then they said they would only come when me and my partner are home.. asked way too many questions... has anyone actually gone through with it?
