This is a guine nubmer from AuPost. Reference: https://auspost.com.au/text-your-choice
It is so weird that these many people claim that it's a scam.

I've received several texts from this number, with the mypo.st etc link in each which all go to the Australia Post Tracking website.
All texts have been legitimate deliveries via Australia Post couriers.

This is definitely AusPost’s number but be careful. Sometimes scammers are able to show this number while sending text messages.
AusPost will only ever ask you to enter the number 1, 2 or 3. That’s it.
No yes or no questions. No links with your tracking details.
If you are told to click the link for https://mypo.st/(numbers and letters) DO NOT click the link.
Protect yourself and call on message them online. Stay safe.

Legit/Genuine contact.
Seems like AusPost have updated the SMS they send. States to reply "Y" if you are not going to be home. But included a https link to mypo.st/ tracking site.
All seems above board to me.

Received a text to say I was receiving wine and it was delivered. I tried ringing the number and wasn’t answered. I looked up Aust post tracking number and the number was incorrect. Finally after 2 days I rang the wine company and they confirmed they didn’t send any wine. Not sure what this person gets out of this?

Got an SMS from this number this morning - with suspicious link - confirmed with AUST POST that this is definitely a SCAM and is not a number that is used by them at all.

OK people. It IS legit. Its been this way for a long time. If it something that requires a signature and cant be left on the doorstep or mailbox, then they will send you a message to get you to select a number (1 or 2) to advise if you will be home, or if not home they will take it to the post office. Please stop saying its Spam or or a scam when it isn't that at all

got the txt with a mypo.stxxxx link. I am expecting a parcel today and replied that I'd be home. Checked the link through googles transparency report, nortons "is this website safe" and bitdefender security and all showed as safe. The link redirected me to the genuine Australia post tracking site but I still believe it's a bad idea to let anyone know you won't be home. To think that criminal networks haven't set up within Australia Post and other linked courier services or at the very least, enlisted postal workers to be their eyes and ears would seem somewhat naive.
