Did not order or have ever ordered from Amazon so unless it's a surprise pressie from a friend which I don't think so and to all those people saying it's not a scam they could be the one's sending the messages be weary people

Lowlife scumbag scammers. Aus Post does not have phone number displayed on genuine sms. when reply Y it is rejected as not functional. Do not click on link. reported.
How do they know who is sending a parcel. which is also beng delivered on same day, and for which a separate sms has been received?

This SMS appears the same time as a legit message from AusPost, however when you click Y another message telling you there is a system failure has occurred, obviously hoping you will then click their link.
AusPost: Your parcel from 'Universal ...' is coming today.
Want us to leave it if nobody's home? Reply 'Y'.

I just received a message to that effect, supposedly from Auspost, saying my parcel from Target is arriving today - link attached to click on.
1) Auspost does not display a phone number
2) I havent ordered anything from Target.

Text Message: Your item is coming today. Nobody Home? Reply "Y" and we'll leave it at your address if there's a safe place. Tracking details: https://mypo.st/U2SmFtY234

The number itself may be legitimate but if you get this SMS, delete it immediately, and do NOT open any link, it is a scam.

Hi,
It's WHAT COMES AFTER THE WORD "mypo.st"//------- THAT COUNTS!!
That's what you need to check. Clicking on that link could download a key logger onto your device, or take you to a scammers website!!
Obviously, scammers are far more deceptive than WE REALIZE!!
JUST REMMBER, Australia Post WILL NEVER ASK FOR YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS, via email or text message!!

A txt from this number about a parcel arriving today and with a link for delivery options. Ten minutes later, a legit txt from Aus post about the same parcel and ten minutes after that, an obvious scam txt. I don't actually get too many of these scam texts, so if this number is a scam like others below suggest, then it looks like Australia post is responsible for the leak of our private data

Caller: SMS from AusPost.

I was sceptical so didn't click on link however a parcel did arrive. The seller's name on eBay did not match the name in the SMS. Not a scam. The SMS appears below:

AusPost: Your parcel from 'Quintillio...' is coming today.
Want us to leave it if nobody's home? Reply 'Y'.

AusPost: Your parcel from ( name ) is coming today. Want us to leave it if Nobody's hoke?
Reply Yes.Tracking and T&Cs: https://mypos.st/IQbiWbjPd5m.

I get these messages when I'm receiving a package, I have the Aus Post App & No when Im getting a delivery.
I have read comments saying this is a scam look at the mypo.st but if you look carefully at Auspost they have the same link exactly.
I'm waiting for 3 packages to arrive today.
So I am pretty confident this message is 100% legit.

Don’t worry, this is real. I was skeptical as well but the parcel it said was coming, came a few hours later.
1st message:
AusPost: Your delivery coming today from Catch Marketplace . https://mypo.st/1Be8qzCa_jE. Pls text a choice (1 or 2 or 3) ASAP
1=Leave at your address (if there's a safe place) & accept T&Cs
2=Someone will be home
3=Take to Post Office if not home
More info auspost.com.au/TextYourChoice

2nd message - It was followed by this because I didn’t reply:
AusPost: Your parcel from 'Hamper Wor...' is coming today.
Want us to leave it if nobody's home? Reply 'Y'.

Caller: SMS from AusPost

Received a message from AusPost https://mypo.st/xxxxxxx to say parcel is coming today and to reply Y if nobody home. I replied Y - didn’t click on link as this is always a no-no!! Then I went to Australia Posts App and checked the tracking for the expected parcel. Previously, the tracking showed the parcel should be arriving the next day. On checking, the details it now shows an update from me to accept parcel if not home today. So, not a scam. Just as I finished typing this the parcel has just arrived by Aus courier. Hope this helps others.
