Logged on to Netbank and the was an unknown transaction. Rang the bank and they confirmed it is legit number and cancelled my card and issued a new one. Suggest you don't ignore this text!!

Legitimate number. It's listed on the Commbank website at: https://www.commbank.com.au/personal/credit-cards/get-more/card-security/faqs.html There were several fraudulent transactions on my account.

Just received text messages (2) 10 minutes apart from this number. Phoned CBA and YES several attempts had been made to access my Credit Card from overseas. Glad I followed up on this after seeing mixed messages concerning this number. Best NOT to respond to SMS or Enails and phone them direct.

Spoke to Commonwealth. They informed me that this is a complete hoax. If it was actually commonwealth it wouldn't be from a random mobile number. All of these message telling you that it is legit are fake.

Received msg on this number saying from Commonwealth Bank wanting confirmation if I had attempted a transaction at Uber. Please reply YES or NO.. First I checked online for complaints against this number. Many have confirmed it to a Commonwealth Bank number. So then contacted the Commonwealth Bank and YES my account has been used for transactions, 8 times today, in San Francisco CA for Uber. I never respond to these messages and always check the number online. So pleased I did today.

This is the Commonwealth Bank security text message 100 % - someone was shopping up a storm on my credit card from overseas using Australian clothes companies. Call back on Commonwealth Banks security helpline if you want to be 100% sure, and you will find this is legitimate .

This is a genuine commonwealth bank number, if they ask you to reply yes or no it is genuine and if you ignore it they will lock your card. If there is a link connected to any text then that is definitely a scam.

I called Commonwealth Bank direct and it does appear this is a genuine number. It appears my credit card was compromised and a new one will need to be issued. I believe it is best to call Commonwealth bank direct using the phone number on their web site to sort these things out.

This number is legitimate. I had a similar case to those listed above with someone trying to use my CBA credit card number.

I've found this website to be helpful in identifying scam numbers. So it was confusing to get divided opinions on whether this was a scam number or not. I called Commonwealth Bank directly on 132221, and was told that a number of attempted charges had been made at Walmart and Apple (which was the message sent through from this number). So it appears a legitimate number.
It would be better if the message contained some identifier like first name or last four digits of the account to improve confidence in the number
