Called saying they were from telstra, were trying to get microsoft code read out to them via mobile text message. Absolute scum of the earth. Rang back 15 times after being hung up on.

Caller: Scam call from ‘Telstra’ Happened to me yesterday. Thankfully I’m not with Telstra and after the initial spiel I said that I wanted to be removed from their call list. That’s when the caller mentioned the one time code that I needed to read out so that they carry out that request at their end. Smelt a rat as no other telemarketer needs to do that. Woman (Indian accent), tried to give herself credentials by saying she was from Sydney, based in Melbourne, but was very pushy about getting me to say the code - I questioned her, saying I had no idea who she was and repeating that I wanted to be removed from the call list. Asked to speak to a supervisor after 3rd request for removal and ended up giving her a fake number (111111), she got shirty as she knew it was fake.l, kept pushing for code, then hung up. A great way to spend 5 minutes of my Saturday afternoon🤣

This number is used by scammers offering discount for Telstra customers. They will ask you for a verification code for microsoft and then hack your email. Then they ask for your one-time telstra code which will give them full access to place orders on your Telstra account. Do not give them any details. I gave the first code before I realised and they had already changed my password for my email. Changed it myself before they changed the phone number. They are extremely convincing.

Rang twice within 30 seconds. Didn’t answer as number not known. No voicemail left. Blocked.

Someone claiming to be from Telstra and offering 50% off my bill. Didn’t know my name or who I was but asked for all my details (which I didn’t give).
