Received call from a call centre advising that they are calling fromVisa/mastercard department, to confirm if I authorised the payment of $2700.00 to some global named company. When i asked which bank he was calling from, he immediately hung up. He was 100% Indian.

Someone from a call centre suggesting they're from a Visa related department (I couldn't understand exactly due to their accent) suggesting that a $2000+ payment had been made overseas on my visa account and they were calling to check it with me before the money is released. I asked why it wasn't my bank calling me, and they said something about commbank/commonweath - I don't have an account with them so I hung up. Sounded very dodgy.
