0429 686 039 was an SMS to say my car was booked in for a service on 25 july but never gave a dealers name. In fact i had my car serviced just 3 weeks ago so i am assuming this might be a hoax call.

I think this is a service used by a few legitimate businesses/organisations to text people, but can also be used by scammers? Might just be a number available for hire or something.

From this same number, I received notification of a medical trial, plus a txt to say my car was ready after a service.

Advertising some solar offer. Never heard of them, don't need it and have blocked the number. My number is on the do not call list!

This number sent me a text to say they're from WWF. Wanting me to update my details. Don't know if it's legit? Looks sus to me.

Purports to be from Thompson Optical - one of many text messages with this content from multiple mobile telephone numbers.
