Hey, I recently got an TEXT from this person about my car for sale, texted me twice with different names.. i replied on email, but didn't give any details.. is there a way i can still be threatened?

I believe scammer looking for my bank account details in response to an ad for houseshare on gumtree. Used the name Kim Tran and even sent along scanned passport pictures

Same thing happened to me, tried to buy my car, name was Bill Owen, christblessbill @ live.com.au

Gumtree scammer - sent text off this number asking if car was still for sale. Replied to text and they sent an email stating they wanted to purchase using PAYPAL and the car would be shipped! watch out!

just got a msg from this number wanting to buy my car and to reply to denismacus @ gmail.com to buy through paypal !!!

Worst scammer around. Im Selling two cars on gumtree. Had 2 responses from this same number with 2 different emails. The mongrel somehow got my account details and took $1000. I dont have paypal so im not sure what happened. Prehaps hacked my computer.

SMS from BILL OWEN saying he wanted to buy my car advertised on ebay. Sent emails from chirstblessbill @ live.com.au saying he was marine engineer away on a ship and would send money via paypal and then said paid more and wanted the difference sent via western union to a representative. SCAMMER

scammer text message from 'Nathan' asking about the price and condition of my car for sale.
His email shows up as nandoaus278 @ hotmail.com

same here, 2 text messages from the same number with 2 different email addresses. Responded via email but alarm bells went off when I got his response requesting paypal account details. I love reverse Australia!!
