Don't have a current Westpac account and never been a customer of theirs. If it's not a scam, then it is an example of the bank's incompetence

I got this msg twice and thought it was dodgy 'Reply YES to get your Westpac credit card statements switched to eStatements. We'll email you when they're ready to view in Online Banking.' I called Westpac to report it and it's actually a legitimate marketing tool they are using. I'm still not repo ding to the text. If I want to change something I'll log online and do it

Number is from an SMS provider - has been used before for other promos in Australia

Received a text message from this number offering savings account statements sent to my "online banking inbox" supposedly sent by one of the Big 4 banks. The bank tells me they would not make an offer like this via SMS.
