Check this rubbish out ! Received this today. Yes I have purchased recently from this supplier but have not purchased anything over the last week or so. Today received the following :-

Unexpected SMS from unknown number - possible scam

Message: The parts you ordered for you car (number plate) are ready please call this number.

No parts are being waited on and it is a scam.

I will spare the details, but I received a cleverly designed, evil, deceptive scam SMS from 0428 077 620 with a suspicious link. (NEVER CLICK ON LINKS, PERIOD!)

Here is an IMPORTANT MESSAGE for the SCAMMERS (and frankly, everyone else too):

wow was at the emergency hospital the night before, had radiology scan for kidney stones. i get a message from this number for a rescheduled radiology appointment for a few days later. i would have clicked on it, but Hornsby suburb where the appt is, isn't even in QLD where I am. it's in NSW.

Offed me a free set of sheet if I filled in a detailed review.
Was signed “Sleepyime”, who is the place we bought our bed from. But they don’t know anything about it. Totally bogus!

Caller: Wayville Mitsubishi

Received an SMS from this number purporting to be from Wayville Mitsubishi advising me that there records show my car may be due for a service. Had my correct rego number but I did not buy my car from them. Received another SMS a week ago. Same message but from a different mobile number.

Spot on. A text claimed I had an order to pick up from Looksmart. As it happens I did have work done there recently but had already picked it up. I phoned the shop and explained what was happening and was told the call may have come from their head office by mistake. While indeed it may just possibly have been oversight, if it wasn't then the question remains as to how my phone no. was able to be linked to a recent visit to Looksmart? Overall too much of a coincidence for me and reassuring to see the comments below on this page.

SMS claiming to be from Access Telehealth requiring a response in order to continue with Telehealth services

Claims to be from msf charity but probably scam as shown by varied calls from same number as shown below

Beware!!!
Advising me that an ABN No against my name was registered and a link was included in their text,
Don’t open the link but instead go to the government site ASIC and check it out. Mind you I don’t even have a business and did not apply for ABN.

Purports to be from Thompson Optical - one of many text messages with this content from multiple mobile telephone numbers.
