looks like a scam. says I failed to pay Telstra. jokes on them,i don't pay Telstra.

this is a 'fishing' text.
not from telstra. it's virus loaded..to install keystroke loggers.
I spoke to them. they don't have that no in their system.
they only send emergency texts. account related contact is only by automated voice mail.
Dont click on the links.. delete the text.

I received the exact same message....and I have also had a payment from Telstra after closing the account. Sounds very suspicious to me.

They sent me the payment failure text. I reported them to Telstra with the number. I plan to report it to ACCC and Police. Hope someone catches them!

Got this one the other day, confirmed with proper Telstra staff that it is a scam. Although now I am trying to figure out how they knew I paid my bill the day they messaged me......0_0

Scammer is still at it in 2021. How hard is it for someone in law enforcement to at the very least disconnect this guy

Checked at T-store, since I was going there for other reasons. Confirmed that current Account balance is $0 - no outstanding charges. This supports many other comments that this is a Fishing Scam. Since they've been using the same # for several years, they must be having some success with the more feeble-minded .......

Scam. Addressed me as HI LINDA. Same message about failed payment. When I replied that there was nobody by name of LINDA at my number a bot answered “Do not understand response. Please try again”

Rec'd a text message from this number yesterday (29/10/2020), claiming my recent payment to Telstra failed. This is outright scam. No account with Telstra.

Scam, jokes on them l don't have an account with them, check the phone number on Google before doing anything

Claimed to be Telstra. Definite SCAM.

Do not hit links or respond to message. Telstra account payment scam. Delete message and block number.

However it was addressed in my first and middle name. So where did they get this info? I had recently being online chatting to Telstra about getting my credit refunded to me and was asked for my driver's licence number as id. I refused and said that I had never been asked this before. Next day get a different scam call and now this today. Telsta call centre appears to be passing on info to scammers.

Have been in touch with Telstra as I too got this text message about my recent payment not going through. I also got a email from no-reply @ telstra.com.au advertising shower heads??? I have asked telstra to let me know how my personal information has been given out

I received the text, and have been having constant issues with Telstra lately and without looking at the url properly replied 1 to receive a call.

The call then asked to confirm my name based on a pre-recorded voice saying a name.
Realised it was a scam and hung up then blocked.

Same Text SMS message just came thru , My account with Telstra is Blank . Blocked number
