Caller: ANZ Falcon

I rang ANZ credit Card enquiries number and was told I had received a legitimate sms from ANZ and that ANZ had blocked my card because two small payments that they considered 'unusual activity' had been made by Health Care Associates and a cab company called LYFT.COM

This is a legitimate ANZ number. I was suspicious and called ANZ who confirmed the SMS is genuinely from them and that there were 2 fraudulent transactions on my account.

Its ANZ Falcon team to advise a suspicious transaction and card has been blocked.

Would be great if ANZ adverised this nunber
as when you try and call the number its disconnected, which then seems suspicious even more.

Be careful and just call ANZ Direct if unsure.

This was a legitimate text message from ANZ via this number. I went into ANZ and they immediately cancelled my card and issued a new on.

Checked my ANZ app (no suspicious activity) and calked ANZ using the contact number direct
They said it was a genuine txt and put me through to security, cancelled card. Genuine number.

Genuine ANZ text informing me of a block placed on my card from a fraudulent payment. I was asked to reply Y or N as to whether I had authorised the payment. I hadn't. I rang ANZ to query as another online purchase I had acually made was also being blocked. The text was genuine.

A legitimate text message

The message informed me that my card had been blocked due to suspicious transactions. The message confirmed the last 4 digits of my card and mentioned the money amount they declined and the store it was for. It instructed me to confirm or decline the transaction by replying, but I held off.
I rang ANZ directly to ask about the text message & they confirmed that my card had been blocked due to suspicious transactions in the early hours of the morning.
I am very grateful for ANZ picking this up. My card is being replaced & a new number issued.
I recommend before jumping to the … this is a scam thinking… contact ANZ directly.

Txt SMS claiming from ANZ is legitimate.
I have received SMS with: From ANZ: we've noticed unusual activity on your card ending XXXX. for your security, we've temporarily blocked your card. please confirm whether you authorised this transaction, which we've declined: $1.87 to the THE ONE LOVE PROJECT on 31/10. Reply 1 if YES or 2 if NO. Due to high volume of calls, please respond to SMS and we will get back to you.
I have respond NO as there was transaction recorded on the account. and the usual ANZ SMS replied with: From ANZ: thanks for contacting us. A member of our team will call you soon.

100% Scam, delete message and block number.

It was a genuine text my card had 3 transactions on it that we had not authorised.

Claimed to be from ANZ. I don't believe it is legit. I checked my account and the transaction they referred to as happening yesterday did not appear on the account. I have reported it to ANZ. Am sure it is a scam.

This is legit. It’s ANZ Falcon and they noticed 2 transactions that were suspicious.

Txt msg claiming from ANZ. My card had been stopped due to suspicious activity ‘uber eats’ etc. select 1 for valid, 2 for fraud.
Checked my ANZ app (no suspicious activity) and calked ANZ using the contact number within the App.
They said it was a genuine txt and put me through to security. Background noise sounded like someone walking along a busy street 😳
Still not sure that this was a genuine interaction.
