Haven't had any particularly recent pathology work and called my GP who were unaware of the text. Likely a scam?

Sends text message asking you to call another number (02) 8821 4075) to make a payment to 'pathology west'. Claims you are 'Medicare Ineligible'. scam. sick of these scammers!!!

Sent me two texts - first one asking whether to bulk bill my recent pathology test to Medicare. As I suspected a scam, I didn't reply. They sent me second text saying I have an outstanding bill, to pay via a link and threatening further action if I didn't do so.
Suspected scam as they didn't address me by name, and I have no recollection of a recent pathology test through NSW Health Pathology WEST if indeed that branch exists...

recorded message called a landline number and advised 0427 732 349 then left another number for pathology west that was so quick that I couldn't catch it, even after replaying message 4 times think it was 88904705? to do with medicare eligibility?

I have had blood tests 3 x weekly for several months now, but I have signed each and every one of the pathology forms. Community Nurse come 3xwkly, and she makes certain the form is signed.
I will contact my local Pathology to double check, but I'm 99.9% sure this is a scam

The thing is I haven't had any pathology tests.

Same as previous comment, it's a work of 'low life' scammers, pretending to be Westmead Pathology. They should just get a real job !!!

I don’t believe it, I got this text and did not use NSW Pathology services!

I got a text from 0427 732 349 regarding bulk billing of a pathology test. This was after a couple of weeks of my surgery. II rang the number and confirmed the bulk billing cover. I was not too sure about the call. I called again to NSW Pathology (02) 4920 4000 and the lady who spoke with me confirmed the number is legitimate.

I called back and spoke to someone who asked me about my medicare card number and date of birth. They aready had these details and knew the last test that i had done from the hospital. I spoke to them and confirmed these details. I got a little concerned if i spoke to the right person. So i called the health pathology number from the administration department where a very helpful lady confirmed that this is actually the revenue’s dept number. Hence was a genuine call.

Had 11 missed call this morning this morning answered phone once home to be told to receive txt about pathology results
