I called back number 0423 406 137 reached IVR for a company called Aussie Protect.

Caller: 0423 406 137

Received a call from 0423 406 137 and they accidentally left a voicemail thinking I had answered.
The caller stated he was from Aussie Protect. When i googled this, i came across http://www.aussieprotect.com/optout.php

quite abrupt and rude when i said they had the wrong number because i misheard and thought they were asking for simon. 4th call in a week. something about private health insurance. sounds sketchy.

They called and as soon as i answered they hung up

Just received this phone call from Chris re: my health insurance. Challenged how he got my phone number as it was and always been a work phone number and i never use it as reference to contact for applications.
Advised may be off some list. Strange , kept saying he wasn't selling me insurance just wondering what health cover i have and if i can get a better price from him ?.

I did not answer and they did not leave a message. I called the number and received a message this was the Aussie Protect Helpline. I have not placed any enquiries with this organisation. It was an unsolicited call.

Creepy and they don’t realise they make people paranoid, they shouldn’t be allowed to it!!!

Thank you. That's very useful information. I don't recommend filling in the opt-out form though - because it requires a name + phone number + email address. When they call, all they might have is the phone number, and we just give them more info. Hmmmm. This call centre is very sneaky!

Called me without authorisation, I told him to stop talking (so I could say don't ever ring again) and he said he would not stop talking because he had called to discuss my private health insurance. I called the number back 0423 406 1437, and told them to NEVER phone again, and get a real job instead of bullsh*t telemarketing.

I had a call from a guy who called me by an old surname and started his spiel - I said thanks for the call but I don't own my home ....and he hung up on me.

Hope they get prosecuted. Harassing innocent and vulnerable Australians

Just had a call from this number - didn't answer and google the number and got this... I only blocked another number that (after googling that number - 0403 236 589 - and finding as many reports on it) has called EVERY day this week, also from Aussie Protect.. So go ahead and block the number, they'll just call from another! Both numbers now blocked - wonder what the new number will be tomorrow....

I had a missed call from this number on my mobile. The caller did not leave a message. I called back from my silent landline number, reached a hold message for Aussie Protect and hung up. I've never heard of them and I'm not interested in buying whatever they're selling. The number's been blocked.
