He called me, left a voicemail.. trying to promote a Facebook group based around ‘ideas’.. he then texted saying he would be persistent with me if I don’t reply, then continues with his sell of the Facebook group

I reckon this is a scam - he asks you to give him money and he will transfer the money to charities on your behalf! How gullible do some people thinks others are?...
