had numerous calls-no one there when I answered. When I call back Optus says number is disconnected

Had multiple calls from this number around 7.30pm for the last month. Answered the first time, man with Indian accent asking me to do a survey. I declined and hung up. However they have been very persistent! Added them to my reject list.

Asked about rating my suburb or something.. No clue as to what aspects of my suburb the questioner was concerned about as I couldn't understand the caller, their accent was incredibly hard to understand. He was from a company that begins with Australian. Not sure how they got their job as a telemarketer.

This scam is still happening.Got a call last evening and no message.

Just had a call from this number 0421 376 854) and didn't bother answering it. I have previously answered this number and spoke to a female (Indian accent) told her I wasn't interested and hung up.

Have received numerous calls from this number over several weeks. When I called back I get a message that Optus advises this number is no longer connected.

I had a missed call from this number 0421 376 854 just before 5pm yesterday. I say to myself, if it's important they'll leave a msg. Considering I didn't know this number I called it back a minute ago (blocked my number) and the recording said this number has been disconnected. Something seems not quite right, whoever it was trying to call me I don't know so it makes me feel unsettled.

I have had a few calls from the mobile number. I suggest we all ring Optus and register a complaint and maybe they will act. I have spoken to them and they get very personal. The male I spoke to was Australian and tried to crack a couple of jokes. I cannot understand why they keep you on the phone. Maybe they are checking when a person is home?

Simultaneously received call from this number on both mobile and landline. Answered landline and some woman's voice about some survey which I declined and hung up. Obviously sending a fake number.

What language was he talking when he asked you to rate your suburb?

Had a call this morning from a man with an Indian accent, saying he represented some Australian Survey Group. Asked whether I was happy with the retirement age changing to 70, asked my age group, how I rated my suburb and proceeded to ask our combined income bracket, at which point I terminated the call. Tried calling back only to receive the same message saying the phone had been disconnected. Some years ago our home was burgled a few days later after a similar type of call. I have reported the matter to the police.

African female claiming to be doing a survey,, crap.. she couldnt handle it when she asked me my age (over 60) and then asked my partners age (19) ,, made her lose her thread and then she decided I was lying,, oh bugga,

This number called me and it was someone from "Australian survey" wanting me to rate my suburb, I told him I am not interested, he was persistent and said it is only a short survey. I hung up.

Received two missed calls from this mobile 0421 376 854 and once called Optus advised that the number is disconnected

Answered wife's phone - caller hung up without speaking.

Asking me to rate my suburb, asked him to speak English then he just hung up.

I received a missed call from this number very late a night... Glad I missed it from the sounds of the comments left for this number!
