Caller: Product Testing Group Two calls on 17 September, followed by a third call on 18 September. They claim that they are not selling products and are not telemarketers. But once the spiel is presented it is all about getting people to agree to write reviews for products which involves entering an agreement with Product Testing Group to receive products from third parties. That is a form of telemarketing. They take no notice when told they are breaching the law concerning the Do Not Call Register Act 2006. A refusal seems to be an incentive for additional pestering calls, which is not just aggressive tactics toward the public but is a form of harassment. They do not when requested delete you from their data-base. There is a pattern of calling repeatedly which goes in a regular cycle of every 7 weeks making phone contact. The callers seem to have the fixed belief that "no" or "not interested" or "stop calling me" does not mean a refusal but is simply a signal that you are playing a game where you want to be persuaded to participate in their scheme of product reviews. Check out the group's web details and dig into their FAQs and you will discover that the legally registered company is named Submission Technology P/L in Birchgrove, You can send complaints to ACMA which has an online complaint form. ACMA has control over the Do Not Call Register, and they can issue warning and place a group under investigation for breaches of the law.
