I rang back the number 0420 008 983, spoke with someone who hung up right away

Call asking personal questions offering work as a secret shopper stating they are working with ASIC (as if) they try to arrange an appointment, interested in full names, Job descriptions, income, relationship status of both you and your partner. I gave false info just to see where this lead.
once I would not make an appointment to meet with them the conversation ended abruptly. Strange scam i think they want to get your residential address.

Calling on behalf of the Shuttle Shopper Project, trying to find qualifying paid mystery shoppers to work on behalf of ASIC to ensure compliance in banking industry (or some garbage - I kinda tuned out).

Was half paying attention, but they get your details from a third party company and calls are rerouted to them when you pick up (hence you can't call them back).

They do not abide by Do Not Call principles but are pleasant enough when talking to.
