Caller: Un named text

“Hi (my name), we require further information to process your ELECTRICITY/GAS request. Please refer to your email for additional details or reply to this message with your ELECTRICITY/ GAS meter number.”
Received this on a Sunday morning, recently changed power & gas providers so you wonder what information is getting leaked to these scammers. Blocked number after a quick number check, lol that Telstra is meant to be onto these scammers!

Caller: 0419 520 629

Text messages stating “2 police referrals have been made for you to Victim Assist QLD, and kids helpline - DV. They should contact you in the next two business days.”

Call the number - phone stating it’s off or not in range of reception.

Caller: Grace medical care

Grace Medical Care has enrolled you to receive SMS communications.

This is phishing. Sent an innocent looking SMS to <random name> hoping for a reply. Don't bother replying and block+report the number.

I received text at 5.20 am Saturday saying my 'funny' name and that my security code "is 7658". Definitely scam.

Yes I just got an SMS from this number, using a different name in “hello …”
I have blocked the number.

Received text today saying NAB payment was made from a new device and to click on the link if it was NOT me. I don’t bank with NAB. Scam. Have reported to NAB

This is the fifth call. The first one was at 3.27 am. I would loved to know how they got my number as have never inquired about their service. I have now blocked them.

Caller: Last Minute Loans

Unsolicited SMS from Last Minute Loan - a dodgy company offering payday loans to people who haven't even enquired about their product. The messages are addressed to a different name than mine and I have never looked into their services or any similar. I believe they're sending out bulk messages addressed to fake names, phishing for people with financial problems during the COVID-19 pandemic which is truly disgusting. They send from a different number each time. I've reported them to the Australian Communications and Media Authority for the spam since I'm on the Do Not Call Register.
