Today I was sent an SMS with a code for a password reset, supposedly from NAB. I NEVER asked for a password reset. Didn't even try login to my account today. Total scam. Be aware. NAB security informed.

Sms from supposed NAB number says can’t send me emails. However received an email from the bank only 5 minutes before. Likely to be a softening upemail fora further scam sms.

SMS saying "Don't share this code with anyone, including NAB. Your security code is ****** for Internet Banking registration". I forwarded this SMS to the NAB fraud number as I have already registered for internet banking so no code was requested.

Same. I believe that someone has spoofed the legitimate number and are telling me they can’t email me my statement (which I have received) and to check my details online. No link this time but I expect I will get another one soon with a link and this is to make me think it’s legitimate before they go for it.

You're wrong. This is a legitimate NAB banking number. I checked by doing some changes to my account and had to verify the changes. This the number that was sent to me via txt 0418 927 502.

I didn't know who sent me a text message and wasn't game to open it. However, once again coming back to the incredible site, I found out it was NAB and was able to comfortably open it.
Many thanks again to all those who contribute here to make it easier for all of us to cope with the massive spam, etc. going on even more so nowadays!

I called the 1800 number on my NAB a/c and that was the number they used to send me the code.

I have blocked the number, so should there be a follow up scam they won't get thru.

This appears to be a SCAM text message requesting me to update my email address at NAB. As my email address is up to date within the NAB system I don't understand.

Why are you looking up a number you believe is legitimate and leaving a message here?

I'm getting notices of statements but no links. Not had a NAB account for perhaps a decade. Why are people who think this is a real number looking it up online and leaving a message??? Are scammers using this service to validate their number?
