Caller: Sms from CitiPower They used to send letters but now they use technology. I sent them an email to query if the message was genuine. This was their response, so yes it's real and not spam.

I received a similar text as above but perhaps if it is legitimately CitiPower then they shouldn’t put a link to click on within the text. With sooooo many scammers out there who knows what’s legit or not - I deleted it.

Yes, Citipower sends bulk sms when they get power outage for a street or big building.

We respond to faults and emergencies, restore power after interruptions and will send you alerts if your power is affected.
