Caller: Scammer From ANZ: Urgent Reminder; Australian Law requires collection of a self-certification which includes your tax residency information. Please, immediately return the forms mailed to you by ANZ or alternatively Text "CALL ME" between 09.00-17.30 AEST (M-F) and ANZ will call you to collect this information
Yeah, right!

Caller: ANZ I was concerned after reading this but it is not a scam. ANZ needs to do a tax self-certification on certain people. If you are concerned, call ANZ directly with the number on their website, they will confirm that someone from ANZ has tried to contact you, and they will put you through.

ANZ. bank wanting my personal details of tax residency. They stated Australian Law requires this self certification. I'm sure law doesn't require a capital letter at the start! None of the other banks I deal with have mentioned this self certification for the personal details. I might reply and make up some fake details. SCAM. I'm about to report it to Scamwatch as well.

Text message claiming to be ANZ asking for tax residency information. Seems unusual, a major bank would have that information (surely).
If they didn't, I'm sure they would contact you via official post or telephone call that could be verified. In any event, I will ignore this text and suggest others do the same.
Most likely a scammer fishing for personal information.
